Hidden gem.  I definitely don't mind the wait and definitely will return. Richie provides quality service every time I've came. I enjoy watching his art when he's cutting the sushi. Very generous man as well! It's also really reasonably affordable. Thanks for having us... See you again!

    Updated review:

Only because I haven't came back in years but... I wanted to share that this place is still hands down the best and fresh sushi place I've ever been to in SoCal. It's a hidden gem and my fiancé and I love it sooo much. Thanks Richie for always providing us with fresh. Btw for those complaining about the wait for their food, there only one sushi chef because he doesn't trust anyone else to do it... quality is really important. So be patient.  There are really loyal customers that come here because of the quality and the personable experience... so if you're not patient and want ayce sushi, go somewhere else. We love this place, we'll eat on your behalf!

I've been waiting for 40 mins and I've only gotten water and one soup for the 2 meals I ordered.
The place is cute and I guess the staff is nice even though there wasn't any communication?
But the wait was way to long. And there wasn't even anyone coming to say sorry for the wait or we are backed up.
I had to get up and ask and she said our food was coming. But what seems to be happening is she's bringing literally one piece out of like 3-4 of a meal to us, to keep us here waiting for the rest.

No one wanted to let me know that it was going to be longer even though I addressed that the people before us were barely getting food, so how long was it gonna take to get ours?

    Answer was , "it's coming".
    That's crap.

This place is a hidden gem and is definitely in the top three for sushi in Glendora and the nearby cities. Don't be put off by the ugly little shopping center set back from the corner of Arrow Hwy on Grand Ave. This restaurant is clean and has a chill vibe inside.
It's small and as you would expect, you get the attention you deserve. The server was polite and attentive without ever being intrusive or pushy. The atmosphere is laid back and cozy and has just the right amount of noise.
On a whim, I stopped in Friday night hoping to have some delicious sushi and I was not disappointed!  Everything was very, very fresh and the portions were generous. With a simple, clean presentation, the talented chef prepared every item perfectly balanced to provide the most incredible tasting experience.
I started with an oyster shooter and salmon sashimi. Both were super tasty and fresh. Next, I had my usual spicey scallop handroll and this was one of the best I've ever eaten-I've been eating sushi for over 30 years! I also the Rainbow roll, which was a long-time favorite of mine that I had all but given up on after so many unsatisfying experiences at other restaurants. This time everything was exactly right! It had lots of thick slices fish on top of the wide cuts that were carefully spaced on the plate-no need to recut the cut roll. The taste was heavenly!
This was sushi dining the way it was meant to be. I couldn't be happier and I will definitely be returning soon!
I recommend you choose this spot next time you have your sushi craving. Enjoy!

    O M G !!!!
I decided to take my girl out here this evening for a bite to eat after a hard days work and let me tell you it is absolutely breathtaking here the moment you step in. I'd like to give a tremendous shoutout to the chef who not only shows outstanding skill but elegance in every plate he sets to serve.

The environment in this small building is spectacular but most importantly ROMANTIC.

The food was fresh as fresh can be and more.

I will most definitely tell my friends and fellow colleagues about this place and highly recommend it anytime its brought up or spoken about.

I cant believe i was lucky enough on a Friday to find a gem such as this one.

Thanks again i enjoyed the food and the experience most of all I'll definitely be back for more.

We came to Anaba Sushi pretty late at night (an hour before closing). They restaurant itself is small and intimate. It was also the perfect setting to have date night with a sleeping  newborn ;)

    We ordered the following:

Tamago - I usually don't care so much about tamago (I'll pick a little bit off for taste before passing to the hubby), but you could tell how fresh the tamago was and I left less for the hubby :)

Seared Black Pepper Tuna - if you've never tried seared tuna, it's a must. Anaba's seared tuna had a wonderful presentation and it had a great flavor profile

Black Snapper Sashimi - amazing! The snapper just melts in your mouth. Definitely get it as an appetizer

Super Philly Roll - generous amounts of salmon and they did not skimp on the cream cheese. They probably used a whole brick of cream cheese (a little too much for my preference).

Spider-Man Roll - I'm a sucker for tempura soft shell crab and especially inside a roll. This is a go to roll of mine and it was prepared very nicely.

Yellowtail & Ono Rolls - for simple rolls, you really can't go wrong with the classics. Both fish quality were very fresh.

SERIOUSLY, all of their fish was fresh and worth every penny. If you are looking for a quality sushi restaurant that isn't crazy loud, you must try Anaba!!
